Early Bath

The sun has been splitting the flags here on Hallett’s Mountain. I trust that if you live in the UK it has been much the same where you are.
I got up early with the good intention of mowing the grass, struggled with the heat for an hour or so, and wound up having an early bath.
She Of The Town House generously scrubbed my back but there I am afraid, gentle reader, I must draw a veil over the proceedings.
Everything else in the garden has been panting like dogs.
I enclose half a dozen photos to show how nice it has been here.
I will get my proper writing head on again soon.

M, your place looks great, and that photo on Tryfan is something special. Those views of the mountains just makes me want to get in amongst them. In fact a friend suggested a ride from North to South going through the Snowden range, so I think its something we will look into. We have done N to S before but not taking in all the mountains.

Cryptic answer to courgettes question: are yours in a polytunnel because mine are.

headless chicken - all in all it was a pretty fine weekend. Albeit that I was forced to swear an oath against the demon beer on Sunday morning. Fine again by Sunday eve though. I look forward to hearing about your nightmare.

me - singed? How very french...

davem - If you are up this way there are plenty of spare rooms in my old farm house. And there's always a cold one in the fridge for anyone brave enough to cycle up the mountain. Why not start an A470 from here?

fi - yes I think you have it there. Polytunnels would make that much difference. I am 300m up on the mountain as well.

Sally its not flickr that gets the gorgeous photos... They just display them for me ;-)

I derive a strange satisfaction from mowing the lawn. The slow rythm of crossing tha garden and the hum of the mower take me to other places and I always love the finished look. I guess its best not to examine this too closely...

It certainly looks like you live in a beautiful and diverse part of the land!

buffalodickdy - wow what an amazing name! How do you come by that one? Greetings.
Yes North Wales has it all. You can be sunning yourself on the beach one day and in the snow up on the mountains the next. And home is pretty good as well.
