Thus began a letter that I received trough the post today. A letter that went on to advertise the potential for equity release from my home.

Unless of course you live in Wales and have a passing knowledge of how old Longshanks surrounded your countrymen with his castles in order to suppress any notion of independence.

How insensitive to your Welsh feelings!
I clicked on the war child link; are you submitting some of your prose? Hope so, it's well worth publishing.
I felt it might be rather insensitive to a wider range of feeling if inspected.
I mean, there must be French expats here that would raise a gallic eyebrow at that kind of opener as well.
